How Do I Sell and Redeem Salon Gift Vouchers in HUSL?

Learn how to create salon gift vouchers as products, sell them through Point of Sale, and redeem them using a custom offline payment method.

HUSL makes it easy to sell and redeem salon gift vouchers directly within the app.

Selling a Salon Gift Voucher

If you sell gift vouchers in fixed dollar amounts (such as $5, $10, $20, $50, or $100), you'll first need to create them as products.

Step 1: Add Gift Vouchers as Products

  1. From the Home screen, tap the up arrow in the bottom-right corner.
  2. Select Manage My Products.
  3. Tap Add Product.
  4. Create a product for each gift voucher amount you offer (e.g. $50 Gift Voucher, $100 Gift Voucher).

Step 2: Sell the Gift Voucher

Once your gift vouchers have been added as products:

  1. Open Point of Sale.
  2. Add the gift voucher product to the sale.
  3. Take payment as normal.

The gift voucher has now been sold and recorded in your app.

Redeeming a Salon Gift Voucher

To redeem a salon gift voucher, ensure your app has been updated to Version 2.28 or later.

Version 2.28 introduced custom offline payment methods, allowing you to record payments made via salon gift vouchers.

Step 1: Process the Sale

  1. Complete the appointment checkout as normal.
  2. Proceed to the payment screen.

Step 2: Redeem the Gift Voucher

  1. Tap Split or Other.
  2. Select your custom Salon Gift Voucher payment method.
  3. Enter the amount being redeemed from the voucher.
  4. Complete the transaction.

The payment will be recorded against your custom Salon Gift Voucher payment method.
