Keeping Your Sales Organised: Open Transactions (Carts) Are Automatically Removed After 7 Days
Why HUSL automatically removes old Open Carts and how this helps keep your business records accurate, organised, and up to date.
With the introduction of Custom Offline Payments in HUSL, there's no longer a need to leave transactions (or otherwise known as carts) open for payment methods such as gift vouchers, memberships, external EFTPOS terminals, or other offline payment methods.
You can now complete these transactions immediately using your preferred offline payment type, ensuring the sale is finalised and recorded correctly.
Because of this, if an Open Cart hasn't been completed within 7 days, it's generally assumed the transaction has either been abandoned or simply forgotten.
Automatically removing older Open Carts helps keep your app organised by ensuring your Open Carts list only contains transactions that genuinely still require action.
It also helps keep your Sales & Performance Reports accurate by encouraging transactions to be completed promptly, rather than leaving unfinished sales sitting open indefinitely.
What Is an Open Cart?An Open Cart (or open transaction) simply means:
- A client sale has been started in HUSL.
- Services or products have been added.
- The transaction has not yet been completed at checkout.
Until a transaction is completed, it is not recorded as a final sale and will not appear in your Sales & Performance Reports.
What Happens After 7 Days?If an Open Cart remains incomplete:
- It will automatically be removed from your Open Carts list after 7 days.
- It will no longer appear in the Point of Sale as an active transaction.
Don't worry — the transaction isn't lost.
If the cart is linked to an appointment, you can simply reopen the booking from your calendar and begin the checkout process again whenever you're ready.
Transactions awaiting payment or marked as overdue are not affected by this change and will remain visible.
