# How to Turn On Your SMS Appointment Reminders

## Never miss a client again - keep your column full and running smoothly

### **Why SMS reminders matter**

SMS reminders help reduce no-shows, last-minute cancellations, and those “Oops, I totally forgot!” messages we’ve all received.

Delivering reminders automatically means less admin for you and a more reliable, predictable schedule.

### SMS Pricing

If you choose SMS reminders, each message is billed at **9c per SMS**.  
SMS credits are **prepaid**:

- A **$10 credit pack** is charged upfront
- When your balance drops below **$1**, an **automatic $10 top-up** is applied to keep reminders sending without interruption

### How to set it up

1. From the **Home screen**, tap your **profile image** in the top-left corner.
2. Select **Client Notifications**.
3. Choose your preferred reminder type — **Email**, **SMS**, or **both**.
4. Select when reminders should be sent — **24h**, **48h**, or **72h** before the appointment.
5. **Save** your settings.

All future appointments will follow your new reminder preferences.

**Important**

- Ensure your **credit or debit card** is updated in **Payments settings** - this is required for reminders to send.
- If a client’s mobile number is wrong or outdated, the SMS cannot be delivered.  
  → Quick tip: update numbers while your client is in the chair, during processing time.

#### **💡 Tips**

**Do a quick “client card refresh” every few months**  
Like a clarifying shampoo for your database — keeps everything clean and updated.

**Turn on auto-renewal**  
So your reminders never stop mid-week.
