# How long does it take for Stripe to payout?

## Stripe’s payout timing and what to expect for your first transaction.

**When you first sign up for Stripe, your initial payout may take 7–14 business days** to process. This is due to Stripe’s advanced fraud protection and security checks designed to keep your business safe.

However, **most users report receiving their first payout within 5 days**.

### 🔄 **Ongoing Payouts**

After your first payment is successfully processed, **future payouts are typically deposited into your account within 2–3 business days**.

### 💡 **Stylist Tip: Speed Things Up**

To avoid waiting during your first real client transaction, some stylists have processed a small $1 test payment themselves.  
This helps kick off Stripe’s verification process earlier, so that when you take your first actual payment, **your payout delay is avoided.**
