HUSL app crashing, running slow or showing a blank screen? Try these quick fixes first.

If HUSL is crashing, running slowly, freezing or displaying a blank screen, these simple troubleshooting steps will often resolve the issue in just a few minutes.

If you're experiencing issues with the HUSL app, such as it running slowly, freezing, crashing, showing a blank screen, or behaving unexpectedly, it doesn’t always mean there is a software issue.

Often, these issues can be resolved by refreshing the app or clearing temporary files stored on your device (called cache).

Before contacting HUSL Support, try these quick troubleshooting steps first.

Step 1: Force close and reopen the HUSL app

What does force closing do?

Force closing completely shuts down the HUSL app and clears temporary information that may be causing the app to slow down or behave incorrectly.

Think of it like closing your salon at the end of the day and resetting your station before starting fresh the next morning.

You are not deleting anything — you are simply giving the app a fresh restart.

How to force close HUSL

  1. Open your recently used apps.
  2. Find the HUSL app.
  3. Swipe the HUSL app away to fully close it.
  4. Wait a few seconds.
  5. Open HUSL again.

Many small app issues are resolved by simply restarting the app.

Step 2: Clear your device cache

What is cache and why does it need clearing?

Cache (pronounced “cash”) is like a little storage cupboard inside your phone.

When you use the HUSL app, your phone saves small pieces of information in this cupboard so the app can open faster and work more efficiently next time — a bit like keeping your most-used hair tools on your station instead of going to the cupboard every time you need them.

Over time, that cupboard can become cluttered with old information that the app no longer needs.

Just like a salon station can get messy with old product bottles, empty containers and tools you’re no longer using, your phone’s cache can also build up with outdated files.

When this happens, it can sometimes cause HUSL to:

  • Load slowly
  • Freeze or crash
  • Show a blank screen
  • Behave strangely
  • Not update correctly

Clearing cache is like tidying your salon station

Clearing your cache does not delete your important information.

It simply removes old temporary files so the app can start fresh and run more smoothly — just like clearing your station at the end of the day helps you work better the next morning.

Your:

  • Clients
  • Appointments
  • Products
  • Reports
  • Account information

are all safe because your HUSL data is securely stored in the cloud, not just on your device.

When should I clear my cache?

Clearing your cache can help if you notice HUSL:

  • Is slower than usual
  • Is freezing
  • Shows a blank screen
  • Looks different from normal
  • Is not loading correctly
Step 3: Delete and reinstall the HUSL app

Why does reinstalling the app help?

If force closing and clearing cache does not resolve the issue, reinstalling HUSL gives the app a completely fresh start on your device.

Over time, temporary files or app data stored on your phone can become outdated or corrupted. Reinstalling replaces these files with a fresh version of the app.

Think of it like replacing a worn-out salon tool with a brand-new one — your work and clients stay the same, but the tool works better.

Will I lose my data if I delete the HUSL app?

No. Your data is safe.

Your HUSL information is securely stored in the cloud, including:

  • Clients
  • Appointments
  • Products
  • Reports
  • Account information

Deleting the app only removes the app from your device. It does not delete your HUSL account.

Important: Log back in using the same email address

When you reinstall HUSL, make sure you log back in using the exact same email address you originally used for your HUSL account.

If you use a different email address, HUSL may create a new account instead of accessing your existing information.

How to reinstall HUSL

  1. Delete the HUSL app from your device.
  2. Download HUSL again from the App Store or Google Play.
  3. Open HUSL.
  4. Log in using the same email address you previously used.

Your account information will sync back to your device.
